About Deborah Maruyama

I am a Denver native.  I was raised in the Denver Public School system, graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and then earned my BA from the University of Denver.  

 

I was awarded my first professional teaching credential from the University of California, San Diego.  While residing in California I worked in the Oceanside and San Diego Unified school systems.

 

Life took me to Alexandria, Virginia.  I worked in the Alexandria City Public School system teaching elementary school and then middle school math.

 

Finally, I moved home to Colorado.  I have my professional teaching credential with an endorsement in math, science and social sciences.  I have taught at Bruce Randolph Middle School and Skinner Middle School.

 

When not at school teaching, I enjoy reading and gardening.
